Installing and uninstalling CTAT

Installing CTAT

The CTAT installers are signed to assure users that the installer is valid and has not been tampered with. Windows and Mac OSX rely on code signing to authenticate software the first time it is run, allowing you to verify the identity of the software provider.

Uninstalling CTAT

  1. Windows: Click Start > Programs > Cognitive Tutor Authoring Tools > uninstall.exe. Alternatively, you can launch the uninstall program by locating it in the Add/Remove Programs applet (located in the Windows Control Panel) and clicking Remove.
Macintosh OSX: Using the Finder, navigate to /Applications/Cognitive Tutor Authoring Tools/Cognitive Tutor Authoring Tools and run the uninstall application there.
  2. Find and delete the file brPrefs.xml. Multiple copies of this file may exist on your system. The easiest way to do this is to use either Windows Explorer or Finder to locate and delete the file(s).
